"FAITH with WORKs!"
Titus 3:5 (Amplified Bible) "He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but because of His own pity and mercy, by [the] cleansing [bath] of the new birth (regeneration) and renewing of the Holy Spirit,"
There are many things which portray themselves as Righteous WORKs, yet they are not what saves us, as Paul writes in this letter. God's Grace provides Salvation, and through HIS Spirit we gain both Knowledge and Power to do those WORKs which provide evidence that our heart has undergone a dramatic change.
An example of determining this difference is, that we seek to do HIS Righteous WORKS because of Love, not because we WORK seeking to be Loved. Faith in itself is a WORK, where seeking God for direction and purpose, we must follow the Life examples of Christ Jesus, the Apostles and 1st century disciples, thus fulfilling HIS purpose.
Continuing in Obedience to God's WORD, must be the desire of our heart, as this pleases the Heart of God. We have resolved to do what pleases HIM, where as before we would only do what pleased us, proving that our WORKs were dead and without merit before Holy Spirit renewed our heart and mind with Knowledge.
Receiving Power which transforms us from weakness with strength to accomplish HIS Righteous WORKs, these are now being done because we LOVE to please HIM more than ourselves. To be Holy and Righteous as God desires, for us to be more like Christ each day, we must then submit our will to HIS Spirit, for this is our reasonable and acceptable service.
O'Lord, my Faith grows stronger each day, by YOUR Spirit I know YOUR Love for me. I desire to please only YOU in all that I do, for it is YOU alone who saves me. Direct my ways to be more like YOUR Ways, that my WORKs in my life may be more like those of Christ,,, Forever and Amen
